The client wanted to blend their old and new, eclectic pieces into a cohesive design, creating a space to play games with the family or enjoy a fire while catching up on some tv. The overall color palette was inspired by nature, tying in the stone from the fireplace and grounding the space and walls with hues of blue.
Ample seating was a must and to balance the golden, delicate modern sofa a neutral “boxy” sofa added some weight by the expansive windows. Various textures were introduced with warm taupe leather chairs, woods to play off the fireplace mantel, and a surprising pop of color with a dark teal aluminum end table!
Colorful accessories and art from local Portland, Oregon artist, Monika Kralicek, pulled the look together!
